She did not really understand her feelings for Scorpion, or why his rejection had made her so sad, but now she had a new set of feelings showing for someone who spoke to her in a friendly tone.   The Author stepped out of the portal into the monitor room and greeted Deadpool and Fate. These two have followed the Author's handling of the MacGyver episode and congratulated him. The Author thanked them and then went to the fridge to get a bottle of Hunters Gold that had been waiting for him. He popped off the cap and took a long sip before he went to sit down in one of the chairs. "So- Jared..." he said. Jared listened attentively. "I know I said I was going to drop you off at Constantine's for training. I have changed my mind, however..." "Why?" Jared asked. He was not really that eager to train with anyone. He never wanted to have anything to do with magic, but- since he got benched indefinitely by his writers and the Author is the only one that still wishes to give him a story to be part of- he felt that playing his part in this story was the least he could do. Deadpool woke up later than everyone else in the lair. If it was a competition he would be tied with Jarred for the title of Team Member who sleeps the latest. He went to the kitchen, warmed up a burrito and then, meal in hand, walked into the monitor room where Jarred was quietly sitting back with his feet on the dashboard and smoking a cigarette. Peter was feeling proud and relieved. His girlfriend has not only managed to survive the whole battle with Electro unscathed, but she also actually helped him defeat the superpowered villain. Gwen had just walked out of the control station when she saw Peter, Spiderman, pointing at his wrist- happily saying that she could still make her flight. And then... an unwanted inbound flight arrived. Harry Osborne was too intent on getting revenge against Spiderman to notice the girl behind him. In a moment, though, he was going to look behind him, put 2 and 2 together and then cause one of the most tragic and unnecessary deaths in all of comic book based movies... Deadpool came back from his mission and was about to report that he has been successful when the Author passed him. The Author stopped him short with a quick "good job. That'll do." and walked on to the spot where Deadpool had just entered the room. Deadpool gave him a puzzled look, shrugged and then headed to the fridge. The Author proceeded to open up a portal on the exact same spot where another one had opened just a short while ago and stepped in... Logan had just woken up in his bed with no idea how he got there. The last thing he remembered was being in 1973 fighting Sentinels and somehow landing in a river... He was about to head out when a man dressed in jeans and a Babymetal T-shirt walked into the room from a hole in thin air. Before Logan could say anything the man grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him into the open portal. Somewhere in a time long before the DC Universe's history a meteorite had just crashed onto Earth with a fiery go...

Soooooooo.... The Author gave me the mission to stop the biggest injustice that was done to Wolverine in the history of his existence in Marvel fiction. Yes. You've guessed it- I was going to stop the Adamantium from getting sucked out of his body by the Silver Samurai and save his precious blade claws. Ummm... Is that a spoiler? I'm not sure, because I have not yet told you whether the mission was a success or not... Anyway- I got inserted at a point in the story where Logan was still sightseeing in Japan with a Yukio that is not canon in either the X-men Apocalypse movie or that cinematic masterpiece of a sequel to my movie... Anyway- I dropped out from the portal some distance away from that Japanese castle in the mountains that was full of Ninjas. I knew that getting in was not going to be easy, so I decided to enter unseen by scaling the back wall with a grappling hook and rope.
