How to cure Adamantium Poisoning...

Wolverine (character) - Wikipedia

Deadpool came back from his mission and was about to report that he has been successful when the Author passed him. The Author stopped him short with a quick "good job. That'll do." and walked on to the spot where Deadpool had just entered the room.

Deadpool gave him a puzzled look, shrugged and then headed to the fridge.

The Author proceeded to open up a portal on the exact same spot where another one had opened just a short while ago and stepped in...

Logan had just woken up in his bed with no idea how he got there. The last thing he remembered was being in 1973 fighting Sentinels and somehow landing in a river...

He was about to head out when a man dressed in jeans and a Babymetal T-shirt walked into the room from a hole in thin air.

Before Logan could say anything the man grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him into the open portal.

Somewhere in a time long before the DC Universe's history a meteorite had just crashed onto Earth with a fiery golden glow. A certain caveman had just gotten into contact with it and happily ran off to become an immortal supervillain. Now the meteorite got other visitors...

"Finally!" the Author said and he dragged Logan towards the rock to place his hand on the stone. The Wolverine was not sure whether it was a good idea and started trying to wrestle himself free. He did not trust this guy, but he somehow deemed it unnecessary to cut him up...

The Author, however, looked at him with a kind smile and just said- "Don't worry. I'm saving your life..."

Sure- the stone burnt his hands, but the Wolverine actually felt a lot better... stronger... after having touched the stone...

"I know I owe you an explanation..." the Author said and sat down some distance away from the meteorite. Logan joined him.

"Who are you?" The question came by itself...

The Author smiled. "I am a fan. My name is not important, but-" he raised a finger "I bet that you did not know that you have poisoned yourself when you signed up for that adamantium-plating of your skeleton..."

The Wolverine's jaw dropped slightly. He really had no idea...

"That meteorite over there grants humans immortality. It ought to counteract the effects of the adamantium..."

"Were the Sentinels all destroyed/?" he managed to ask. He could not think of any way to begin making sense out of all the confusion.

"Oh! I don't know..." the Author replied. "All I know is that you have fixed all that needed fixing in 1973 and that 2023 is as good as it can be..."

The Wolverine looked away for a moment, deep in thought. He was going to have to struggle with his thoughts on his own though...

"Also-" the Author added while getting up- "We have done what we came to do. Let's get you home..."

Logan was soon back in his room at the Xavier Academy and shook the Author's hand before he watched him disappear into a new portal. Then he headed out into the hallway to see how this new day was going to begin...
