Meet a Real Boss Character!

The team has slept well after a night of sightseeing around the city of Altissia. Today was going to be the day on which Noctis was going to establish a covenant with Leviathan. They will know that their time to move out has arrived as soon as the wind starts picking up.




The team woke up, however, to find the Author and Deadpool missing...



In quite another story an earlier version of Sephiroth was plunging down towards Aerith as she knelt in prayer...

Cloud was still approaching her and had just begun to register the horror that was about to unfold before his eyes a mere millisecond from now...

Sephiroth's sword almost shattered when the tip struck solid rock where Aerith was supposed to be. He did see the hooded figure appear out of nowhere and its cloak folding around the girl before they both disappeared, but was not able to do anything about it while he was falling.

The Author and Aerith appeared somewhere outside Midgar where Deadpool and Zack were sitting in a field scattered with dead Soldiers.

 "Took you long enough!" Deadpool called and waved to the Author as he walked towards where he and Zack were sitting. They were both exhausted from the battle that had started an hour earlier, but that has ended about 5 minutes ago...

Aerith ran towards Zack, who quickly got up to run towards her as well.

The Author was in too much of a hurry to enjoy the scene, however...

"Make sure your guns are fully loaded. The next battle is coming up soon..."

"But- what about my coffee break?!" Deadpool demanded. He did make sure, however, to follow the Author into the portal while he loudly threatened that his union was going to hear about this...


The people on Altissia's canals and in its busy streets obviously never bothered to look up. The Author and his team were completely unnoticed on the rooftop that was picked for its view over the port and as much of the streets below as what was possible.

Leviathan was not out yet, but Noctis could be seen standing on the pier calling it out.

The Author quietly watched the pier. On his left was Deadpool, guns loaded and swords on his back as you would expect. On his right Cassandra stood in a tight fitting Ninja suit with a ninjato strapped across her back.

Just behind them Jared was cleaning a fingernail with his golden knife...

A bit ahead of them, but enough to the side so as not to obstruct the Author's view, Sephiroth's long silver hair waved in the breeze that was slowly becoming stronger...

Then... the wind grew a lot stronger and the waves on the water by the port grew higher than the buildings on that lower level. The first Niflheim air ships also made their appearance.

"Okay..." the Author said calmly. "Be ready to move out as soon as you see the troops landing..."

"Cassandra- you take the right... Disable as many troops as you can..."

"Deadpool- you take the left... Same thing. After what I have seen from you just a while ago this ought to be a breeze. Just watch out for innocent bystanders..."

"Okey dokey!" Deadpool answered with a casual salute.

"Stevens- you get the rear... These people have guns. You might want to unwrap your arm..."

"Lastly-" the Author said and paused for a while... "Sephiroth- you have visual on Lunafreya?"

Sephiroth nodded.

"Get into position and don't engage anyone until Ardyn shows up. When he shows- take him out before he gets to Luna..."

As the ships' cargo doors opened up above the city the Author gave one last warning. "If anyone finds Ignis- back him up and do not let him use that ring!"

The Magitek troops that landed were surprised to find that it was not Prince Noctis and his companions that were the first to face them...

A soldier that thought he had entered the promenade with five troops behind him had not noticed the sleek shadowy figure that quietly knocked out his buddies behind him one by one until he was giving hand signals to nobody at all. The last thing he saw for the day was a black gloved fist that exploded into his jaw before it all went black.

Stevens quickly found himself backed up against a wall. His tentacled arm shielded him from all the bullets coming his way while the ankh darts shot out into random soldiers and back into his free hand at lightning speed.

The first Magitek troops in Deadpool's sector found to their surprise that Deadpool did take a lot of bullets, but kept on fighting nonetheless. They all continued attacking with full force, however. Well- that was at least until Deadpool sliced one soldier's head clean off during the battle when he pulled out one of his swords and kicked the severed head into a random gunman's face.

This caused a number of Deadpool's assailants to become nauseous and paralyzed with shock and they ended up bent over and puking...

Meanwhile- Kayako had exited the Author's body and possessed the pilot of one of the air ships. She steered the ship into its nearest neighbour and shot into the next ship in vapour form to wreak havoc with its crew...

Lunafreya was rushing towards her fiancee who was lying on the pier after he had barely survived the battle with the giant sea monster deity. She suddenly felt her legs buckle under her as she got caught in an unexpected fit of coughs. She dropped to the ground with the trident that she was carrying, not noticing Ardyn behind her who was in turn not noticing the Author and Sephiroth coming up behind him.

The Author was in no mood for the mysterious tone that he adopted when he appeared to characters. Ardyn was about to get Luna's attention...

"YO! THE PUSSY WITH THE HAT!!!"

Ardyn looked around with a puzzled expression and found the owner of the insulting voice. It was a man dressed in a white hooded cloak that he would not recognise at all because Assassin's Creed was simply not known in this world and next to him was a long-haired man with the longest katana that he had ever seen. This man was obviously not a man of many words.

His white cloaked friend, however, was another story altogether...

"Yes! You!" the Author continued "Nobody stabs nobody's fiancee while I am around..."

"You obviously have no idea who you are talking to..." Ardyn replied with a slight chuckle.

"Oh! I know damn well who you are!" the Author laughed. "- the weakest boss in the post FFVII era! Time for you to meet a real boss character!"

Ardyn saw Sephiroth leaping towards him too late. His legs froze in terror and warm urine flowed down the legs of his trousers as the pain registered in his body only after the Murasame blade had passed through it...

"That was a waste of my abilities..." Sephiroth muttered as he walked away from his kill. Behind him Ardyn's upper body slid down from his lower body in the diagonal path that the sword cut had created and his stiff legs fell over like a log that got knocked over...

Noctis sat up dumbfounded...

Lunafreya had caught up to him and was now holding him as the Author addressed him. 

The fighting stopped and one by one the team members showed up to join the Author and Sephiroth at the pier.

By now the Author had answered a lot of questions from Noct and Luna and was getting up from his comfortable cross-legged position to open up the portal and leave...

"By the way-" he said "be sure to get that engine thing at the imperial base near Hammerhead and have Cindy fit it in your car! It is totally awesome!"

He opened the portal and then remembered something else- 

"Oh! And Luna- when your husband has killed all the sealed monsters- let him take you camping and let him fish as often as he can!"

Lunafreya looked at Noctis with a puzzled smile and then back at the Author.

"Certainly..." she managed to say.

The Author's companions started walking into the portal. The Author nearly bumped into Gentiana who showed up out of nowhere.

"Oh! Sorry, Shiva! Did not see you there! Ardyn's taken care of now. You can now become a summon monster with the rest of your god-buddies and help Noct take down the monsters. Especially that mountain-turtle..."

Gentiana stood stunned as the Author disappeared into the portal and it closed...

"What is he talking about...?" Luna asked. 

Gentiana looked away. Keeping her head lowered was suddenly not enough...
