We don't need a Crisis

After unmaking the entire Eden story, the Author remembered that there was something that he wanted to fix since his early childhood.

So- soon afterwards he was shoving a rifle up the anus of the twisted corpse of a hunter in some animated forest while a baby deer was happily running after its mother...

"Good job, Kayako." he said in his mind. Inside him- the cheerful and beautiful Japanese girl with long straight hair and a healthy complexion smiled. She was happy to help this kind man.

Before she began inhabiting the Author's body she only had endless hurt to avenge. Now- she was finally experiencing the warmth of love and acceptance that she had never known during her human life. So- she was now completely unrecognisable compared to the pale gruesome form that she used to have.

"Next stop- DC Universe- Final Crisis..." the Author sighed and with a snap of his fingers and pointing at a random spot to his right he opened up another portal.

In a derelict building, somewhere unknown to us, but well within the Author's reach, a man was putting on a hood while standing in front of a full-length mirror. against one of the walls in the room a staff stood propped up. At the top of the staff a pair of archaic scales was affixed.

He was a lone man in a hooded costume now, but soon he was going to assemble some of the greatest villains this world had to offer. Then... the struggle between good and evil was to finally end- just not the way the good people of this world would have it...

When the hood was finally in place Libra took a good look at himself.

With this face he even scared himself a little. What scared him more, however, was the black haired girl that grabbed him by the throat from out of the mirror...

"Done already?" the Author asked as he felt the warm spirit slip back into him.

"Hmm mm?" Kayako smiled. She reminded the Author a lot of Cassandra Cain in her early days when she was like that.

The Author flicked away his cigarette.

"Next on the list- Boss Darkside..."

The Dark Side Club was impossible to miss. The Author was at the entrance, wondering how far he would be able to go before he came up against Apokaliptians...

He was also not sure how Kayako would fare against this kind of enemy.

So- he rather opened another portal...

When he stepped out into Goku's yard the Author found Chi Chi hanging the washing. She had never met him before, so- he was immediately worried about startling her.

"Good afternoon, Madam..." he began, careful enough to not alarm her by showing that he knows her name. "I am looking for your husband. Is he nearby?"

"Hi." Chi Chi said, looking slightly puzzled, but not too alarmed. "If you need him to save a planet or something you are out of luck. He is already busy dealing with a crisis at the moment. Have you heard about what happened with the Dragonballs? "

"Ah!" the Author said to himself. He suddenly remembered that Goku was rarely ever at home in this world.

"But hey!" she said "Goten could use a workout. How about you take him with you?"

The Author was amazed... "You would entrust your son to a stranger just like that...?"

"Well... sure!" Chi Chi laughed. "My husband may be a buffoon at times, but any friend of his is a friend of this family. Besides- you are not nearly strong enough to hurt my son..."

So- soon afterward- the Author and Goten were standing outside Club Dark Side. Goten was not keen on killing anyone- so they agreed to toss Boss Darkside into a portal to Mortal Kombat's Nether Realm.

So... Goten walked into the building. Even though the Author was not able to see anything going on, the sound of a brick wall breaking meant that Goten had just met his first attacker. The gunshots told him that the other occupants of the building took this threat rather seriously.

Every now and then an energy blast would erupt from a wall, sending bricks and pieces of concrete flying across the street. This led to a crowd of onlookers forming. Then- a large, heavy set body with a clean bald head and dark glasses flew straight out of the front door and over the Author's head. Goten appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the man in a full nelson hold.

"Now!" Goten yelled and the portal opened...

After Goten was sent home Kayako asked: "This place has many villains. Why did we eliminate only these two?"

The Author stood silent for a while- then replied:

"All the other villains in this world are threats, but the best that they do is give the heroes work to do. These two- however- were about to put an end to this world altogether..."
