Where to throw a bomb that is about to explode

The Author was really pleased with himself. The idea to have Doomsday thrown onto Thanos' ship before he had come across Thor and his refugees came at the last minute, but it was the most brilliant idea that he has had since the beginning of his quest to right the wrongs of fiction.

Lying on his bed, the Author was now thinking of his next mission. He has just saved Superman from getting killed, and in doing so gave the DC Universe a blessed time that was free from the grief of having lost its greatest hero. Steel never bothered to appear in this Universe now. Connor was probably still going to show up at some time since his appearance had nothing to do with Superman's death.

Whether Cyborg Superman was going to show up was uncertain, but also irrelevant now.

For a long time to come, the DC Universe was going to be manageable from that time on with villains that were within its heroes' power to defeat- until the Final Crisis comes at least...

Now, however, it was time to fix something that had gone wrong in Goku's universe. The Author was happy with his work in the GT universe. He has given that universe an adult Goku that could do all the things he would have done in his child form, but now with a lot more dignity.

Also- King Kai got revived...

That was when the idea hit the Author:

What if it was never necessary to revive King Kai?

And so- he opened up a portal and set off to right a wrong for both the GT and the Super universe...

Superman was taking a break in the Fortress of Solitude when the portal opened up near him. It was not so long after he had first met the Author and he quickly adjusted to the unexpected arrival.

The two men greeted each other and after having hastily skipped through how each was doing the Author came to the point:

"It is time for us to help Goku now..." he began.

"I'm in." Superman said after hearing the plan.


On another Earth in a completely other reality Cell was being a sore loser. He had just had his ass handed to him by a 14 year old Gohan and all he could think of now was how to get back at these Earthlings for having humiliated him this much...

Then he got the brightest idea his vengeful mind could muster-

He was going to summon up all his energy is one giant explosion that was going to blow the Earth to dust!

Having announced his plan he proceeded to summon up his energy, growing larger and larger while all the Z fighters looked on like idiots...

Goku was still going to get some hare-brained idea on how to deal with the situation when the portal opened up behind Cell, who was now just laughing like a big fat retard...






The Author and Superman stepped out into this reality and wasted no time putting their plan into action.

The Author pointed to a point in the sky far to the left of the Z Fighters who were still trying to process what they were now seeing. A portal opened up at that spot.

Superman grabbed hold of Cell's very thickly inflated right leg and rose up just high enough to get them both off the ground, Then... with the spin of a levitated hammer thrower- he sent the bloated abomination on a swift, straight course into the portal.

The Author opened another portal behind him and Superman while the portal in the sky was still closing up and quickly and quietly waved at the dazed Z Fighters before he and Superman disappeared from sight...


Now... somewhere in the distant future of the DC Universe a villain called Darkseid was sitting on his thrown at a nexus in space and time that he had just created to help him rule all of space and time.
A few moments ago he had just taken his old form in a new body after having spent years as his reincarnation that was known as Boss Dark Side.

Now- Earth was one big shit-hole. Wonder Woman was now his warrior slave, Martian Manhunter was dead and Batman was captured. He could not be more pleased with how things were going.

Then a portal opened up right above his head...
